I'm not sure why it hit me today. But I thought I should take some time and write a general outline for my autobiography. An interesting subject indeed.
You can take the popular route and wonder why, I, a simple web developer of 27 years of age would want to write one. It's not so much that I believe I deserve a book about me, it's that I want to preserve all that I know about my life while I can still remember it.
One day it will all be over. My life has a time limit. I can't live on forever and ever. My father, my father's father. They are both alive. My father's father wrote an autobiography actually. And it's good that he did. At his old age, Alzheimer's disease has sunk in and he would have a hard time recalling everything that is in his book.
It's good for the family and good for history in general. We all have a story to tell, be it impressive or small. People that have accelerated to the top of the world in their sport or profession will often write about how they got there. Me, I just want to record history.
So there is begins. I will start with an outline of what I want to write about. Even my childhood is starting to blur a bit. I hope I can record a bunch about it. And my daughter, Ralena. Her life is just beginning and writing about her and how I have come to have the family that I do will be a pleasure indeed.
I will record it all, write down what I can, and store it away. Hopefully I will open the work back up every 5-10 years, to record the new things that have happened.
And so it begins.
