When I was younger, I went to a ton of movies. 21 times in 1998 alone. I would just take my stub and set it into a pile, off to the side. Once I graduated high school, I started going less and less until the point where I didn't go for an entire year or two.
Looking back over these stubs, I can almost remember who I went with for all of them. But there are a ton of events that are tied to these tickets, forever allowing me to remember the dates when these events occurred.
Lost in Space (Row 3, Ticket 1) was a big one. It was during that movie I had the lower stomach pains that never stopped until I had surgery to remove the broken pieces of my appendix. I was in the hospital for about 4 total weeks shortly after that movie. I was 14 years old, and as the doctors put it, the perfect age to have that problem. 30 lbs lost later, I was cured.
Movies were always impressionable on me when I was a kid. I would always leave the theater with a whole new outlook on life, which would fade in a few hours following the movie. Some movies were so good I saw them twice, Godzilla, Spiderman 2, Avatar, all great movies in my mind when I saw them.
About Project 2011.52
[Project 2011.52 is a personal photography/writing project that I want to attempt this year. The rules are this: Each week in 2011 (Starting Jan 02-Jan 08) I take the time to take one photo of an important person or thing in my life, to write at least 2 paragraphs about it, and to record a short video during the week.]
