Nursery Almost Done

I said I'd start it on the first day of Spring and I planned on having it done by the end of April. Today is April 13th (remember to file taxes!) and we are nearly done with it. Today I might pick up the carpet, which is a means to reach the end.



We have done the following:

• Cleaned out the room.
• Ripped down old drywall.
• Replaced the window.
• Spray paint the radiator a solid color.
• Rehung drywall.
• Mud and sand the drywall.
• Finish the window in drywall.
• Paint the ceiling and walls in two colors of paint.
• Paint the closet white.
• Replace two outlets.
• Add a light switch.
• Install a ceiling fan (twice).
• Add the ceiling trim.
• Install window trim.
• Install window sill.
• Paint closet and room doors.
• Saw off the bottoms of the doors in anticipation of new carpet.

 So we have the following left to do:

• Install carpet padding.
• Install new carpet.
• Reinstall painted baseboard.
• Install closet and room door trip.
• Reinstall closet and room doors.
• Finish ceiling trip.
• Install corner trim.
• Bring in baby furniture such as a crib, dresser, etc. (what Rachel calls "The fun part")

So I think I'll make my April 30th deadline way before. And August 4th is the day, the day in which our daughter is due. :)





This fan ended up being replaced.
